Before coating · bare mill-finish titanium

This is titanium. On its own it makes no chlorine.

Seven solid plates, 1.0 mm thick, 4.0 mm apart. Bright, cold and electrochemically idle. Nothing here has worn out — the plate has simply not been coated yet.

The layer goes on

Ruthenium–iridium oxide. Applied, not alloyed.

The few microns on the surface are what turn a piece of titanium into an anode. On an RP cell the layer goes onto every plate and onto both faces, because every plate takes its turn as the anode.

Everything you are paying for sits on top of the metal.

The titanium is the substrate. The dark satin surface is the product — and it is the part a cheaper supplier can quietly put on thinner. So the line on a quotation worth arguing about is the coating load.

Our core product is the titanium anode.

Titanium electrodes, MMO and DSA anodes — coated in Xinxiang and sold into copper-foil lines, plating shops, electrowinning and water treatment. The pool cell and the hypochlorite generator are what we build from them.

Mixed metal oxide. The coating on the RP and AC pool cells and on the hypochlorite generators.

Ir–Ta Iridium–tantalum

High oxygen-evolution potential, holds up in acid. Used through the manufacture of electrolytic copper and aluminium foil.

Pt Platinised

A platinum layer rather than an oxide. Horizontal plating, pulse plating and precious-metal electroplating.

Every plate is coated on both faces, because every plate takes its turn as the anode. The cell sheds its own scale. No acid washing.

AC — monopolar

Coated anodes, bare titanium cathodes. Polarity never reverses, so scale builds up: plan on a periodic acid wash, 1 part HCl to 15 parts water.
